CTE Scholarship

Fast-track your career. TCF provides up to $9,000 per calendar year for CIRI shareholders and descendants pursuing vocational training, trade schools, and professional certifications.

Supported Pathways

TCF funds a vast array of certified non-degree programs. If it leads to a recognized credential or license, we likely support it.

Maritime & Fisheries

USCG Licensing, AB certifications, marine engineering.

Aviation & Transport

A&P mechanics, commercial pilot ratings, CDL training.

Healthcare & Medical

CNA, Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, EMT certification.

Industrial Trades

Welding, electrical, plumbing, heavy equipment operation.

Rolling Admissions

Apply When You Are Ready

Unlike 4-year universities, trade schools start all year round. That is why the CTE Scholarship operates on a **Rolling Admissions** basis. There is no June 1st or December 1st deadline.

The 45-Day Rule

You must submit your complete application at least **45 days** before your program start date to guarantee funding arrives on time. Applications submitted after the start date will not be accepted.

Submit your application via the TCF Portal at least 45 days before classes begin.

Once approved, TCF sends funds directly to your institution.

Frequently Asked CTE Questions

Does this cover my tools and boots?

Yes, if the tools or protective gear are strictly required by the syllabus of your certified training program, TCF can fund them as part of your overall eligible expenses.

Does this cover union apprenticeship dues?

TCF can cover required classroom training, books, and specific credentialing costs associated with recognized trade union apprenticeships. Standard monthly union membership dues are generally not covered.

Can I apply if my CDL class starts next week?

No. All CTE applications must be submitted at least 45 days prior to the start of the class to allow for administration processing and check disbursement.
