Applications are accepted 365 days a year. TCF strives to process CTE applications rapidly, typically rendering decisions within 2 to 4 weeks of complete submission.
Establish Eligibility
Verify your CIRI original shareholder or direct lineal descendant status with TCF to receive your portal access code.
Select Your Program
Enroll in an accredited or recognized vocational, technical, or licensing program.
Submit Online via Portal
Upload proof of enrollment, transcript or completion verification, and program budget through the TCF portal.
Direct School Disbursement
Once approved and accepted, scholarship funds are disbursed directly to your training institution.

When is the CTE application deadline?
There is no deadline. CTE applications are accepted year-round, 365 days a year. You can apply whenever you are ready to begin training.
How much funding can I receive?
Eligible students can receive up to $9,000 per calendar year. You can be funded multiple times upon completion of previous coursework, provided the total does not exceed $9,000.
How long does the review process take?
Because CTE applications operate on a rolling basis, TCF administration typically renders a decision within 2 to 4 weeks of complete application submission.
Can I receive both Higher Ed and CTE funding at the same time?
No. Applicants cannot simultaneously stack Higher Education and Career Technical Education awards. You must complete coursework funded by the initial scholarship before qualifying for additional funding.
Does CTE count toward my lifetime funding limit?
Yes. Undergraduate degree programs and CTE programs share a combined lifetime funding limit of $30,000 per individual.
