Anita Johnson’s educational journey is just beginning at Western Governors University, supported by The Raven Fund from The CIRI Foundation and it is a shining example of the profound impact this scholarship has on the lives of its recipients. As the first in her family to pursue higher education, studying Health and Human Services, Anita is trailblazing a path of inspiration and achievement.
The Raven Fund, designed to assist CIRI, Alaska Native, voting shareholders who are not original shareholders or their direct descendants, covers various educational levels, from associate to doctorate programs. This broad eligibility ensures that a diverse array of students can access the opportunities they need to succeed in their academic endeavors.
Anita’s story is just one among many, and each narrative is as unique and impactful as the next. We at The CIRI Foundation are always eager to hear more stories like Anita’s. If you’re a recipient of the Raven Fund, we encourage you to share your journey with us. Your experiences and achievements can motivate and guide future applicants, illustrating the real-life benefits of the Raven Fund’s support.
“I am the first person in my family to go to college and this would not be possible without the generosity of The CIRI Foundation.”
