ARTShops

Intensive residential sessions building skills in traditional and contemporary arts.

Program Overview

ARTShops are immersive, community-based sessions strictly focused on the creation, preservation, and teaching of both traditional and contemporary Alaska Native arts.

Funded by TCF, these workshops are led by master artisans and provide a highly structured, hands-on environment for cultural transmission.

From carving and skin-sewing to contemporary visual arts, ARTShops ensure that critical artistic knowledge is not just documented, but actively practiced and passed down within the community.
